Brewing Belonging at the Treehouse Cafe
Treehouse Cafe owner, Sarah Grant
District 1 business owner Sarah Grant has long believed in the power of spaces that heal, connect, and bring people together. Her vision has always been rooted in creating welcoming places where neighbors can gather, build relationships, and share their gifts, stories, and businesses with one another.
Sarah’s journey began as a wellness center on Austin Bluffs offering a variety of healing modalities. After navigating challenges along the way, she reimagined the space and reopened it as a neighborhood café and community event hub by acquiring Peak Café and transforming it into the vibrant Treehouse Café. Today, the Treehouse is buzzing with life, hosting more than 64 events each month and an incredible 704 events last year alone. From grief support groups and healing circles to multigenerational gatherings, the café has become a true gathering place for the community.
Beyond events, Sarah is passionate about supporting local makers and entrepreneurs. Treehouse Café proudly features baked goods and handmade items from local bakeries and crafters, creating opportunities for small businesses to grow while strengthening neighborhood connections.
Much of Sarah’s motivation comes from her role as a single mother. She not only provides for her family but also models leadership and creativity for her 10 year old daughter, who already teaches art classes at the café. It truly is a family affair. Walk through the doors of Treehouse Café and you will feel it immediately. The warmth of the staff and Sarah herself makes everyone feel like family.
With delicious food, a calming atmosphere, and a strong sense of belonging, Treehouse Café is more than a coffee shop. It is a place where community and wellness are brewed together one cup at a time. It is absolutely worth the visit.
