Laura’s impact has not gone unnoticed. Her neighbor, Joan Stangs, submitted a “Nominate a Neighbor” application through Hey Neighbor, recognizing Laura as a standout community builder.
How a Neighborhood Walk Leads To Connection
Jane Jacobs was an influential journalist, activist, and author who lived in New York during the mid-1900s and championed community-based development and vibrant, walkable neighborhoods. The walk was led by Community Coordinator Heather Briggs and followed a 1.2-mile route that meandered from Switchback Coffee Roasters through Shooks Run Park and back.
A Warm Gathering at Fremont Elementary
On March 17th, as the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day filled Dublin with joy and tradition, the teachers at Fremont Elementary School in District 1 came together for a Neighborhood Café hosted by Hey Neighbor and the COSILOVE School Champion program.
Hope In The Neighborhood
Hope Homes, a division of Revolution Community Center, has opened in District 1 at 2380 Montebello Dr, Colorado Springs, CO, next to Garden Ranch Park and Revolution Church. The center is led by Pastor Shane Farmer, who brings over 45 years of ministry and childcare experience.
