Party at the Polls Made the News!

Article Written By: Melissa Teten

Good neighbors, great food, karaoke, and some very opinionated young voters made for a memorable Party at the Polls!

Our recent gathering brought neighbors together to celebrate community, connection, and civic engagement. One of the highlights was our kids’ voting booth, where young voters got to practice using their voices and cast ballots about what matters most in their neighborhoods.

And the results were pretty great!

🌳 More playgrounds, shade, seating, and sports fields
🎉 More kid-friendly events and festivals
🚸 Safer streets and cleaner parks
🎨 More opportunities for creativity and learning
🍪 And, of course, cookies!

At Hey Neighbor, we believe stronger neighborhoods start when people show up, connect, and have a voice. We're grateful to everyone who helped make this gathering happen and to all the neighbors who came out to celebrate.

Special shout out to One Body ENT for hosting. Stix and Soul for the delicious food and DeMarcus Hysten for bringing the fun on the mic!
