Neighborhood University Wraps Up With Vision and Momentum

On Tuesday, we wrapped up our latest cohort of Neighborhood University with a powerful visioning activity led by Kris Stanec, Director of Creativity and Innovation at Colorado College.

Through what felt like a magical process of describing photos of doors and pathways, students unlocked their creativity to imagine what comes next and how they’ll use what they’ve learned to open new doors, take new steps, and build more connected, vibrant communities.

Throughout the program, students explored how local government works, how to organize within their neighborhoods, and how to build strong relationships across lines of difference. This cohort covered a range of topics, including city planning, affordable housing, transportation, utilities, economic development, public health, and advocacy.

We’re proud of what this group has accomplished already and excited to see how they bring their visions to life in their neighborhoods!
